Rock Valley Anglers® - Fishing Contest Rules:

•    Contests are open to members in good standing. 
•    Contests run from January 1st to December 31st.
•    Entries must be received by the 3rd Wednesday in January for the previous calendar year.
•    Entries must be caught in accordance with state/province fishing regulations.
•    Entries must be caught using hook and line.
•    Entries must be caught from waters open to the public in the continental United States and Canada.
•    Entries must include name, date caught, species, length accurate to ¼ inch, lake/river, and state.
•    Entries must have a photograph or witness.
•    Entries are eligible for all contests as long as the entries meet the requirements for the contests. 
•    Entries can be entered electronically, given to any Board Member, or mailed to the Club Librarian.
•    Entries and photographs become the property of the Rock Valley Anglers®.
•    The Board of Directors has final judgement on contests and entries.
•    Deliberate falsification of an entry is grounds for disqualification of the member from all contests.

Rock Valley Anglers® - Fishing Contests:

Contest #1: Fish of the Month
All entries caught during a calendar month will be evaluated by the Board of Directors to determine a winner. Entries must be received by the 3rd Wednesday of the month following the catch to be considered. A $10 gift card will be awarded to members catching the winning fish. Each member can win only once per year.

Considered species - Smallmouth Bass, Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike, Muskie, Walleye, Sauger, Bluegill, Crappie, Perch, White Bass, Catfish

Contest #2: Fisherman of the Year

Fish will be judged on length accurate to ¼ inch. The lengths of each member’s best individual fish of 5 different species will be added to determine a total length. A $100 gift card will be awarded to the longest total length. A $50 gift card will be awarded to the second longest total length. A $25 gift card will be awarded to the third longest total length. In the event of ties, the winnings will be split evenly.

Contest species - Smallmouth Bass, Largemouth Bass, Walleye, Bluegill, Crappie

Contest #3: Best of Breed
Fish will be judged on length accurate to ¼ inch. A $20 gift card will be awarded to members catching the longest fish of each species. In the event of ties, a $10 gift card will be awarded to members catching the longest fish of each species. Each member can win only once per species.
